I know that a lot of people use it mix with water in the bath, i also read once that it can be use on the body, i think spread on the area of the plexus/troat chakra, to remove bad energies acumulated during the day. but again, im not sure of my sources.. any help? sat nam! m-c >Sat Nam, > >You are right there is no relationship with Yogi Bhajan. > >> Somebody some time ago refered to a book called "Kundalini Awakening >> - a gentle guide to >> chakra activation and spiritual growth" by John Selby. > >I wonder if the book is not >> showing only a different path to awaken kundalini energie (only thrue >> meditation, they dont talk about yoga or any krya). > >You are right. Guest guest
sea salt is very cleansing to the energy system especially when a pound of baking soda is added. I find this twenty minute bath useful after any kind of energy work, martial arts, yoga e.t.c. to promote mental, emotional, physical and spiritual clarity as well as a wonderful grounding effect. Guest guest
Sea salt is also recommended when dissolved in warm water for the practice of Jala Neti, where water is poured into either nostril. I think the salt makes the water feel more natural to the internal passages and has osmotic benefits. The water can either flow out through the other nostril or through the throat and out of the mouth. Sat Nam -- Nick
Guest guest
thanks for the reply! what is jala neti? somebody recommended once to do "Jaladhara" as following: "For Breathing:- Take half glass warm water.Put some salt (sodium chloride) in that and stir.Do "Jaladhara" with that in the nose- Take a spoon or a filler and pour this salt water in the left nose and then after that pour little salt water in the right nose also.Remaining water you gargle in the mouth. This should be done just before you go to sleep; and donot wash your mouth or nose after that. When you pour water in the nose try to breath through mouth only.First three days it will be very unpleasant." my question is, how much of this salted water should be poured in the nostrils? and how much salt in half a glass of warm water? and finally, for how how long should the person do that? days? months? year? sat nam, m-c >Sea salt is also recommended when dissolved in warm water for the >practice of Jala Neti, where water is poured into either nostril. It should be done daily, especially if you work in a polluted city as I do. I believe you will find some information on this website: http://www.healthandyoga.com/ I also recommend the book "Pranayama" by Andre Van Lysebeth if you can find it anywhere.
