Guest guest
Dear Scott, My heart continues to beat, I do not > enter a samadhi, I just rest in deep meditation. Sounds good to me. > > But once, sitting to practice after a 30 day fruit fast, the lungs flexed strongly, and slowly gained speed of in and out. I became detached. After a while, the heart suddenly leapt up and joined the lungs in perfect sync and union. They raced at a strong speed together, the lungs flexing rapidly in time with the heartbeat, with the feelings of the heart quite evident and ecstatic. Just like a > motor. But the heat generated was strong, and the sweating profuse, and I eventually stopped out of concern for the flesh and the novelty of the experience. I noticed no ill effects other than heat and sweat. This is most interesting, but I have never heard of it before. After studying chi gong and activating my navel center I used to have spontaneous breath of fire where I felt my body was automatically pumping me up when I needed energy. That is the closest I can get. > > So I ask, is this a common and well-known experience? As I said I never heard of it. Anyone else? Is it safe, or productive of sound yoga? Depends on your results. Be with it while it feels productive and let it go when it feels too much. This sounds like a quetion for Yogi Bhajan. Guest guest
> This sounds like a quetion for Yogi Bhajan. Will you please be so kind as to ask him? I have read his book, "Teachings of Yogi Bhajan", and know he is a great saint and holy man. I took teaching from a KY instructor in Kauai in the '70's, but was not prepared for this experience. Thanks most kindly sir, Sat Nam... Scott

Guest guest
Gururattan, thank you Sir. I will undertake to write to Yogi Bhajan. I am not sure who Pietre is tho, a search of the list archive does not indicate this. However, I thank you so much for the address of Yogi Bhajan. I will post here as I learn more on this question. thanks, Sat Nam, Scott
