Guest guest
That's really sad. Do you know what was in this product? Whether it was a herbal or a synthetic base? I am really disturbed as to the blind faith that so many of us put into the so-called health care industry and especially the pharmaceutical industry. It's really about money, it seems, and not about quality of life. my 2 cents... my apologies if I offended anyone. Guest guest
Thank you for posting this warning. I have weird problems with anti-fungals - get very spaced out , shakey and the last time I tried Terazol(which is a vaginal cream) my heart started racing, and my doctor told me never to use anti-fungals again. I've had a yeast infection since before christmas (the result of antibiotics) that won't respond to natural remedies - I've tried Neem, Boric acid to name a few. A few days I talked to Dr. William Crook who has written several books on Candida and asked him if he had ever come across this type of reaction. It was a new one on him. I've been trying to avoid the candida diet because I really can't afford to lose any weight, but I began it yesterday. I was thinking of trying the anti-fungals again in a few weeks to speed up the process but his posting has made me think twice. I think the spaciness and shakiness is probably die-off, but the palpitations are something else again. (Terezol was the only one that caused that effect) Thank you very much for the warning. love and blessings, Avtar K. ______________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Guest guest
Amen Kelly. I too believe that if you do not ask they will not tell you. I have been under very stressful conditions lately and doc wanted to put me on wellbutrin b ut offered no information about side-effects. When I asked him about them he was reluctant to tell me. Well it is all over the television what the side effects are. Quite frankly I think some of the side effects are worse than the condition being treated. It is a blessing to know that more and more people are taking their health in their own hands. I mean when you think about it, who is more knowledgable of the self? The self or someone else? Guest guest
Garlic is an excellent substitute for many antibiotics. Also everyday plain yogurt has been known to combat most yeast infections.
Guest guest
Avtar, Something that you might want to try for yeast infections and/or Candida is garlic supplements. The best I have found is Kyolic, which is an odor-free form of garlic in a capsule form (make sure you get the one that is JUST garlic and not the one that has various vitamins added). It is excellent in treating, but more so, for the prevention of infections of all types... even herpes, believe it or not. It is also excellent for the circulatory system... and it lowers high blood pressure. I started by taking 4 per day, 2 with lunch, 2 with dinner (or breakfast.. what ever is good for you) ... after a bit, you may notice a sort of detox reaction... it may give you an ... ahem... active bowel.. slight dizziness... bad breath...headache.. THIS IS NORMAL.. so don't be afraid. It is your body releasing stored toxins in the body and, as they make their way out, they pass through the system, making you feel a little off. This is the healing process and it is important to respect and recognize it... and go with it. Don't take pain killers or gravol or anything to decrease the symptoms because you will only prolong the process. Trust me.... I have been through a MAJOR herbal detox program... as in approx. 75 herbal caps per day for 30 days along with a very strict diet... it was hell.. but it helped get rid of various illness in my body... and then it sort of teaches you body to remember how to do it itself. Sometimes, the body can be so overloaded with garbage that it slows down certain important processes because it can't handle the amount of toxins.. so as a result, many have very sluggish livers or kidneys... or lymph systems, as I did. When I say toxins.... I mean things from too much sugar, caffeine, processed foods (and there's a lot of that), nitrates (anything smoked or processed.. meats, cheese..etc.)artificial dyes..., chemicals, hormones, antibiotics... and ALL of these last 3 are really unavoidable... unless you eat a completely guaranteed organic diet.... Many of these things are stored in the body for years and years. anyway........ as I ramble on........ Kyolic is great...... I've been on it for about 5 months and I have not had an infection or a cold or anything and ALL of my co-workers have been sick 2 or 3 times EACH since then... one even got pneumonia. For yeast infection.... something you can try is actually inserting an acidophilus capsule over night.... recommended by herbalist Susun Weed... the herbal goddess!!' so.... these are just some of my suggestions... try them if you want a change.. don't go back to prescription or over the counter remedies... they do not solve the problem, they only mask the symptoms. Yeast infections are caused by an imbalance in the body caused by diet and.... if your partner has it as well, it can be passed on through intercourse. Yes... I'm taking about yeast infection. Good luck.... sat nam, Kelly kelly mitchell Media Principia-Ex-centris Montreal,Quebec www.ex-centris.com <http://www.ex-centris.com> Siobhan MacMahon [siobhanmac] Thursday, February 15, 2001 6:13 PM Kundaliniyoga Re: Deadly Drugs Thank you for posting this warning. Guest guest
It is really disturbing how the medical industry and the pharmaceutical industry just wants to push these drugs for the money and the funding. It is about masking.. about Band-Aids.... not about causes and prevention. My father was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer that metastasized into his bones about 2 years ago. The doctors said get your affairs in order... there is really not much we can do except chemo and radiation... My dad left his job and his home for a cabin by a late on the east coast for 4 months after diagnosis... he and my mom spent their time their relaxing and laughing and treating their bodies to a healthy diet... cut out fats and red meat and sugar.. he started taking a rigorous herbal supplement program that my mom and I put together for him and... when he returned 4 months later for a blood test... his prostate cancer was gone. When he was diagnosed, his psa level was 390, normal is between 1 and 3. 4 months after holistic living, it was 0.1.... he had a CAT and an MRI and the tumors in his bones (8 in all) had shrunk 50% and were no longer active. If my Dad were to have taken chemo.. he would not be here today. I am sure of it. Beware of the drugs that doctors want you to take.... they are there to push them... just like a dealer.. the only difference is, it's legal. Doesn't mean they won't kill you. sat nam, Kelly kelly mitchell Media Principia-Ex-centris Montreal,Quebec www.ex-centris.com <http://www.ex-centris.com> Chrisi61266 [Chrisi61266] Friday, February 16, 2001 9:49 AM Kundaliniyoga Re: Deadly Drugs Amen Kelly. Guest guest
Thought I would share my 2 cents on yeast. I've had yeast infections and my daughter was born with it in her mouth (thrush). The most effective treatment we found was grapefruit seed extract. www.nutribiotic.com But, it is anti fungal, though not synthetic. I had a reoccuring yeast infection throughout my first pregnancy and I found that it forced me to get out of my sugar addiction and I did not consider drug store products an option. I too was not interested in going on a diet! But, I cut as much sugar out as I could. It was very hard for me, as I was really addicted to it, even refined sugar as I had just become vegetarian and whole food about five months before I became pregnant. So, I had to think- what can I eat? Rice cakes with cashew butter, chips and salsa, nuts, snacks like that are what I found. The next yeast infection for me came at a time when I knew if I didn't change something I was going to get sick- so that's what I got. So, good luck bringing your body into balance. There is a message board at the nutribiotic board with a lot of information from people who are dealing with candida.
