Guest guest
This is a great mantra, especially for use in a class. Students really get into it after a sort while and chant strongly and with feeling. Yogi Bhajan calls it the "May the Force be with you" mantra. Another version is available in the Teacher Training manual where it is called the Pran Bandha Mantra Meditation, which means "that mantra , sound combination, that collects, binds and commands the life force or prana." The mantra comes from Guru Nanak and is derived from the Jap-ji. There is further explanation that I won't go into here. The position is easy pose, focus at the brow point. Hands are in the lap, right hand into the left palm, palms facing up. "Become completely still, physically and mentally. Like a calm ocean. Listen to the chant for a minute. Feel its rhythm in every cell. Then join in the mantra. "11-31 minutes Sat Nam- Ram Rattan Singh
