Sat Nam Norma:

Here is a link to a posting which explains how to perform Sodarshan

Chakra Kriya:

Kundaliniyoga/message/2791

This is said to be the highest kriya of all the 20 types of yoga,

that it will purify all the chakras (the name means Kriya for Perfect

Purification of the Chakras), cuts through all barriers of the

neurotic or psychotic inside nature, gives you the vitality and

intuition to combat the negative effects of the unchanneled

subconscious mind, purifies your past karma and subconscious impulses

that may block you, gives the pranic power of health and healing,

establishes inner happiness and a state of flow of ecstasy in life.

It is said that this kriya never fails, and that if you perfect the

practice for 2 1/2 hours every day that it gives "the 9 precious

virtues and the 18 occult powers". I cannot testify to that, but

then I've only ever practiced it at 31 minutes/day :)

I can say that I truly love this meditation - although when I was

first taught it I thought it was awful! Be patient with the

practice - treat it with reverence. It is worth the effort.

Love & blessings,

Sadhant

Sat Nam Sadhant:

If I'm new to KY practice, can I perform this kriya?

¿Are there some kriyas suggested for beginners,

instead of starting with an advaced one?

Anxiety has invaded my life, and subconscious impulses

some times take over me.

I feel the main blockage is in my diaphragm area.

Gururattan suggested me once to meditate on my

diaphragm, and establish a relationship with that part

of my body, and I'm working on it, not just at

meditation time, but every moment I remember during

the day.

The benefits you posted about this kriya, sound like

what I've been looking for.

Being on this list it´s a wonderful gift.

Thank you so much to everyone.

Carlos

Dear Carlos,

Go for it. Just work up to 31 minutes and be patient with yourself about

perfecting it.

Usually it is what you are drawn to. You are already advance by thinking of

doing KY.

Dear Gururattan:

Thank you so much for your response.

While I was reading it, I felt a warm sensation around

my chest, and also felt not being alone. I've been

married for 25 years and we have 3 children, but the

loneliness I mean has nothing to do with being among

people. I've wondered many times, ¿why do I have this

kind of feelings? I don't know, but they are part of

me, and the only way I've found through the years to

balance my life, it's doing Spiritual Practices.

I've been having these warm feelings in several

postings since I joined the list 2 months ago. I think

KY is already working on me, even though I'm fairly

new to practice.

I've found an oasis in the desert.

Sat Nam Leslie:

This link has the benefits:

Kundaliniyoga/message/4113

This link describes how to do it:

Kundaliniyoga/message/2791

Note that it is easy to search through the message archive - I found

the above links by searching for "sodarshan" (the web-site has

a "Search Archive" button).

It can be found in various and sundry books, including "The

Mind", "Physical Wisdom", "KY for Strength, Success & Spirit"...
