Guest guest
There are several fantastic books on crystals that I have found very useful, MELODY'S LOVE IS IN THE EARTH, has several books on laying-on-of-stones. There is a book that contains pics of various stones and a book that goes with it that explains the benefits and the energy contained within the stones and where to apply them. A good rule of thumb is if the color of the stone correlates with the color of the chakra it benefits that area.

Guest guest
Sometimes, a stone or gem is held on the hand during meditation.. other times, a stone can be worn, such as a Lapis or turquoise worn around the neck for the throat chakra (5th). Blue resonates with this centre. I know of vibrational medicine practitioners that use stones on healing with energy, while applying reiki, pranic healing... it is really up to the individual that is using it. If you are new to the world of meditation and to the power of gemstones and crystal... I suggest that you go to a place that sells them where you can actually hold them and just listen to yourself. Many times, a gem will "speak" to you.. it will feel good in your hand, it may generate a warmth or an energy. Amethyst is a very healing crystal for the body.. it is also violet which is good for the crown chakra..... quartz crystals are feminine or masculine and emit different qualities. A crystal clear quartz is masculine, and gives energy, while a milky quartz is feminine and has a more healing, balancing purpose. Smoky quartz, which is a brownish color, is a very strong crystal and should be used with caution, as some have found the high vibrational qualities to actually cause heart palpitations. Carnelian, a red stone, good for the root chakra, is very useful for expression and communicating basic needs. The list is endless.......... really........ If you search around the net, you will lots of information. sat nam, Kelly kelly mitchell Media Principia-Ex-centris Montreal,Quebec www.ex-centris.com <http://www.ex-centris.com> m-c [m-c] Thursday, February 22, 2001 10:49 AM Kundaliniyoga Re: chakras and rocks sat nam all and thanks for the infos. Guest guest
m-c, re: chakras and rocks I have brief descriptions of stones, herbs, and issues that relate to each chakra on my website http://www.rockisland.com/~pmcrae/index.html (non-commercial) under the heading Kundalini. (It's graphics heavy so may be slow loading). One valuable reference I used was the book, 'The Chakra Handbook' by Shalila Sharamon and Bodo J. Baginski.
