Guest guest Posted March 4, 2001 Report Share Posted March 4, 2001 Sat Nam, The positions I see are so fantastic and amazing. being unable to do these postures due to stiffness or un-flexibility makes one feel as if he is losing out. therefore my question is. Is there anything I can do to that will make become flexible in order to practice/ carry out Yoga positions? Start out with what you can do and keep doing exercises every day. We are inflexible because we don't move. The move you move, the greater your flexibility. Breath deeply or do breath of fire during the exercises. This lubricates the muscles with the breath and aids in flexibility. What Jacques is referring to for me means that our muscles and bones must also be strong. We can be flexible and strong at the same time, if we also do exercises to strengthen the muscles. These are the standing exercises. Archer pose is a good one to strengthen the muscles. Get started and keep going. You may be very surprised how much progress you make if you relax into in and don't force the process.
