Whenever I face some high tension situation like exam or interview or ego hurt , I suddenly feel blacked out , (though not literally ) but I suddenly become aware of the intense pulling force in my solar plexus area....it feels really bad....my limbs start trembling ! In addition to calming yourself down with the breath, dog pose and other exercises already suggested, you can feel the energy in your body and be with it. This is like being with a child. Just the attention calms you down. We are never going to be perfectly calm even with all the KY, so we have to learn to embrace our energy in your body. This is a very important art to cultivate. After a while you will get into it. It is exhilarating to feel the energy in our body. We get very present and attuned to what our body is telling us. The fear of the fear and anger goes away. We can just enjoy all our emotions as they come and go.
