I wrote earlier this week about wanting to chant a mantra to send blessings and wishes of joy to a friend. I have been chanting the RaMaDaSaSaSaySoHung mantra for him in the evenings several times this week. Yesterday evening, as I was chanting this, an interesting sensation occurred. I was seated crosslegged, with 2 candles lit in front of me, elbows close to my sides, hands and forearms at about a 60 degree angle, palms facing up. I began to feel something very subtle in my left hand that I can only describe as a sensing that beams of subtle energy, rays of gentle light were emanating from the area of the pads at the base the fingers, out through the fingers to the beyond. The right hand felt nothing. Afterwards, when I had time to think about it, I realized that I had been seated facing due east, the general direction where my friend is. In particular, my left hand would have been pointing almost exactly (as the crow flies, so to speak) to the location where he is, even though it is thousands of miles away. Sadhant, Gururattan, was I only imagining this, or is is possible that through my sincere prayers I was actually sending light and energy to my friend? I am new to this so I don't understand. You are just not used to tuning into suble energies. The fun has just begun. , or is is possible > that through my sincere prayers I was actually sending light and > energy to my friend? Most definitely you were sending energy to him. He is a very lucky person. Any man who gets a woman to pray for him is very fortunate. Woman's power is the power of prayer. I am new to this so I don't understand. Don't try to understand. Understanding is the booby prize. Experience is where it is at. I do a lot of energy work and it sounds to me like you generated healing energy in your hands. The left hand is the hand that draws energy and the right sends it. Or just by your presence and your loving intention you will heal those around you. And always remember to include yourself in your own prayers.
