My cat, Samantha, is dying right now, or so the vet tells us. She has been failing for a while, with one thing after another....thyroid, heart murmur, constant urinary infections, but as they have told us she was not in pain, we kept her with us, trying to keep her as happy as possible. The vet is now giving her two weeks to respond to medications, as she is done to 6 pounds for 18 and is now exhibiting behavioral problems along with everything else. We shall love her as best we can in the time she has left. My heart goes out to you as you adjust to your life without her. I believe that, wherever she is, she knows that you loved her very much.
