Hello...

I am relatively new to KY. I sporadically attend a local class, which i really

enjoy, but feel tremendously tired and wiped out afterwards. i spoke to some

class members who said this may be due to releasing toxins. i live a relatively

clean life, but i have a tendency to be excessive with carbs, sweets, and at

times caffeine. saying this reminds me of yet another question i have - which

is if anyone else has a similar experience of exhaustion after class - and if

there's anything that i can do to minimize it. the teacher has a hot tub, and i

did spend some time in that the last time i went. i think that helped. no

doubt more consistency on my part would help too...

before i go on to my other question, i also wanted to extend my love to those

who have recently lost/are losing a pet. i am always amazed at how deeply the

grief of pet loss hits for me... i find it a mystery, as the intellectual side

of me tries to explain to myself that it's only any animal, etc. etc., but i

can't begin to deny the side of me that is sobbing. it almost seems like pet

loss hits in a stronger way than human loss does. i dont' understand it. but i

certainly know it, and empathize with those who are currently facing it. many

hugs to you...

as someone relatively new to KY, and having problems with inconsistency... or

consistency i guess i should say - inconsistency comes quite easily... i have

yet to purchase a book and i would like to, but i have difficulty determining

which would be best from the info on the web sites. i thought perhaps if i

posted the issues that i am addressing in life someone who is more familiar with

KY and the texts could point me in the right direction. current issues in my

life are:

- overweight/ poor body image/ difficulty embracing my sexuality

- career issues - in flux, having difficulty determining my path... doing

many things, but feeling that i need to find one i have a passion for,

yet not getting there

- sort of along the same line as the above two - wanting to nurture

creativity in my life.

i'm going to stop there, because as i go on, more come to mind. simplicity is

another thing i work on - so i'll try to keep it simple.

i also have an addiction history. i am a recovering addict/alcoholic (13 years

as of 4/11)

sorry for the verbosity.

any input would be helpful.

thank you!

Dear Libby,

I suggest cutting back on the length of time you do the exercises and relax

into the energy while the rest of the class is completing the exercises.

toxins. i live a relatively clean life, but i have a tendency to be

Sorry, but suger and caffeine are not clean. They will burn you out very

quickly and then you have no stamina left to do KY.

Do one exercise consistently everyday even if it is just for 5 minutes.

Program yourself for success.

I recommend Transitions to a Heart Centered World.
