hello all--

I finally figured out what i was doing wrong and why i was unable to

post for so long! It is good to be able to finally ask questions!

Here is my current one (and there are a ton more where that came

from!):

I was wondering if anyone had any yogic remedies or poses,

meditations, supplements, anything, to help combat some vicious pms?

I read in some past posts that Camel pose was beneficial, and I was

wondering if I could do Camel on its own or if there is a set that

could help?

This is my 'second wind' with ky; a few months ago, i found it quite

by accident and threw myself into it a little too wholeheartedly.

Now, I am taking it slowly, going to a class once a week and trying

to practice on my own 2 or so times a week--no cold showers or

morning practice for me just yet! Still, it is wonderful and amazing

to me how fast this yoga works on all levels!

With Love,

Jessie

Welcome back to KY! And congratulations on listening to your body on

how to proceed in a more gentle way that you can maintain. Also,

know that you don't have to do the equivalent of what you are doing

in class every day - that is, a daily practice can be very minimal to

begin with (for example, 3 minutes of Sat Kriya). This allows us to

have the satisfaction and benefits of a daily practice (without the

problem of overdoing that you experienced), and provides a base that

you can build from at your own pace. But you are your own highest

teacher - follow your instincts and, as you clearly know, whatever

you do will bring significant change, joy, and strength into your

life.

Gururattan posted a message with some info about PMS - here is a link:
