Guest guest
Hello to all, I am a little concerned that I might be overdoing it a bit. I am a beginner and have been using Nirvair Khalsa's videos to teach me. I started about 10 days ago which was my first ever experience with Kundalini Yoga and I'm hooked. I've been doing an entire class almost every morning for an hour. I have noticed that my leg has been a bit sore. I had Sciatica a couple of years ago in that leg and it has always been a bit of a worry ever since. The soreness is different to what I've experienced before. I've had a bit of cramping down the whole leg which goes away again quickly but have had some strange sort of pulsing feeling in it. It's not necessarily a bad feeling either. Just somewhat strange. Could the stretching possibly be helping it and my leg is adjusting? Does anyone think that I am doing a bit too much for a beginner and should slow it down a bit? I look forward to your thoughts. Guest guest
Dear Di, >I have noticed that my leg has been a bit sore. It depends on what kind of soreness. A little bit is normal. This can actually be done simultaneously by pulling the front muscles and knee cap up toward the hip. Or it can be done after the stretching. > The soreness is different to what I've experienced before. It's not necessarily a bad feeling either. Just somewhat strange. Could the stretching possibly be helping it and my leg is adjusting? Yes. Pulsing is activity and moving energy. Does anyone think that I am doing a bit too much > for a beginner and should slow it down a bit? Only if there is pain that does not go away or you are exhausted. Never hurts to go slowly. You will build up strength at a slow, methodical pace. Follow your intuition. Your body will tell you. Sat Nam, Gururattan Kaur
