Guest guest
Hello Dawn, You are most welcome to the "club"! Your messages came through just fine, so it looks like you have everything set up all right. > Can an overweight person do this type of yoga? What if I cannot get > into certain poses, will it still help me? About your question above, yes, KY will help you a lot, I am sure. KY does not have positions as challenging as Hatha Yoga. It uses instead movement and rhythm to generate its (often amazing) effects. Although it gives results very quickly and is very powerful, it is also called a yoa for householders, because it is easy to practice and you don't have to overexert yourself. Just do what you can, and it will do much more for you in return! Somebody I know who is overweight (I am on the underweight side) used to practice KY with one of Ravi Singh's videos called "Golden Yoga", which is for people who are not used to this type of exercise, overweight or older people. She said it really helped her - you may want to give it a try! Gururattan's website www.yogatech.com will carry some of Ravi's videos soon so then you could order it from "our" site, or in the meantime from Ravi's site at www.ziplink.net/~ravi and tell him you are in this group : )! Many blessings, Satsang Kaur
