Hello,

Ravi, on the Kundalini Yoga list, wrote :

is solid

material with weak spots and firm, some spots I can 'poke'

right through

while others are strong and elastic. It has become an

exploration combined

with the attempt, nowadays, to use those same fingers to

mend the weaker

areas and to get the energy to feel the same throughout.'

I am happy this important point raises reactions.

My idea is that there is quite a lot of good work to do with

this principle.

I will be most happy if Ravi and others elaborate on this

and, please, give a mximum of details.

As for me, I at least feel I have found something with an

important promise of progress.

By now, I dont or scarcely feel bones. But some areas answer

immediately, with a prickle or a tingling. Some other are

soft and I have to go thtough them slowly. If not, I dont

feel anything. I have the idea that these exercises wake

this zones up. So trying more and more is like sowing seeds.

It will grow. It will become more and more sensitive. We'll

see.

Hello,

When I read Froggy Jacques first post on this Tibetan

exercise it immediately brought to my mind a

relaxation exercise I used to do in high school: I

would lay down and relax my muscles, slowly focusing

my concentration on my inner body, starting with my

toes. When I would begin to feel as if I were waking

up the sensation, I would move up, through my feet,

ankles, legs, up through my body, out through my arms

and up through my neck to my head. The waking up

sensation was like a tingling, I imagined a hightened

circulation.

This was not as easy as it sounds, it would take me a

long time and hard concentration, but it WAS like

using my mind, my concious thought, as a finger,

moving through my body.

I will be paying more attention to this excersise to

see what I can develope, as it has been a while since

I've done it.

Dear Jacques,

One other technique used in KY, similar to the one you described, is to

"breathe into" different areas of the body. Try to consciously direct the

breath to a particular point in the body and see how it feels. You can find

out a lot about which parts of your body need more attention, and you can

also use this as a healing technique. If you have had an injury, or are

having pain somewhere in your body try to breathe into that area (slow, deep

breathing). From my own experience this really helps.

Keep exploring : )!

Many blessings,

Satsang Kaur

Sat Nam,

I do a progressive relaxation, after my yoga routine, similar to the one you

just spoke of. I mentally start "toes, balls of the feet, arches and heels

are relaxed... ankles, calves, shinbones are relaxes... going in this fashion

to the top of my head and face. One day, by the time I finished from toes to

head and went into a semiconscious sleep I was able to hear myself snore...

I thought it was interesting since I never experienced that before. I always

insisted over the years that I didn't snore when hub would say otherwise :)

(I'll have to go back and find Froggy's explanation of the finger of the

mind2 /Tibetan Exercise and see how it compares.)
