Hello,

You asked 'On which side should one sleep?'

May I ask : beard inside or outside the cover-rug ?

As was said in Tintin, since I asked the question, I cant

sleep any more...

Hello Danut!

One should theoretically sleep on the right side. This allows the left

nostril to open and makes us calm down. Furthermore the heart is free,

without any pressure, and digestion is facilitated too (but you

shouldn't eat before going to bed, so this point is not relevant!...).

....personally I sleep on the right side, on the left, on the back, on

the belly... If I can't move and have to think all the time to turn on

my left side, I don't sleep anymore - like Jacques said!!

I learned when I was pregnant that sleeping on the left side is best. It

had something to do with the organs. I even gave birth to my first child

lying on my left side. I find it very comfortable. I think comfort is

pretty important when sleeping, so I would say it is a personal choice :~).

>From a medical standpoint, you should try to sleep on the left side.

It has to do with the portion of the colon called the descending-

colon on the left side of the abdomen. If this portion is full

of "stuff" (like most of the time), and you sleep on the right side,

the weight will droop more into the abdomen, which will put un-needed

weight on the internal organs. For this same reason you lie on the

left side to administer an enema. I know, more info. than you

needed;-)

I sleep any way I can.
