Guest guest
Sat Nam Carlos I also have the book you mention. Alternate nostril breathing without retention is known as "Nadi Sodhana" and you will find a different chapter detailing "Anuloma Viloma" which is the same thing but with breath retention. You should find information regarding benefits, locks to apply etc in other parts of the book, one of the more important being that you should apply chin lock (jalandhara bandha) with long retentions to prevent the air from escaping. At the end of the book there is also a useful guide as to which exercises to start with and how to build up your pranayama routines. BTW I don't know if you are familiar with the KY exercise called "One-minute breath" which is one of my favourites. Best wishes -- Nick
Guest guest
Sat Nam Nick: Thank you for your response, I think that besides the pranayama, I should work on build a new habit of reading the books completely. BTW, the "One-minute breath" I think somebody talked about it in one of the postings a few weeks ago, but I don´t remember, ¿how do you perform it?
