Guest guest
Well, I took a major step Wednesday night and held my first KY class. It was actually the first time I have done KY in a group, and I must say that the energy was very different. Seeing as I have only been studying yoga for a short time (and having no guide except the inner-one), I have mixed feelings of elation and inadequacy. I struggled for a long time as to whether or not I should try to hold the class without the prescence of an experienced practitioner----but guess what----there is no one in the immediate area to help me. My only choices were to keep this wonderful system to myself, or try to get together with like-minded spirits and just go for it. I know the practice can be very dangerous, but I have prayed and asked God for guidance and have no other choice but to proceed in Faith. I am open to any, and I mean any, advice as to how I should proceed with my (our) classes. BTW-I did tell my class that I was only a beginner and expected to learn as much from them as them from me. Thank you all for your time, Mal (need some help here) Wagner

Truly, that is the only guide there is. That doesn't mean we can't all benefit from studying with a more experienced teacher/practitioner, but trust in your inner guide! > inadequacy. I struggled for a long time as to whether or not I Completing a teacher training course (particularly the Master's Touch held annually in Espanola) will give you a high degree of confidence, and also greatly expand your knowledge about how KY works and how to teach it effectively. > to myself, or try to get together with like-minded spirits and just When YB came to this country, he was very clear that he came here to create teachers, not disciples. What you are doing is great! > I know the practice can be very dangerous, but I have prayed and Really, it isn't. As long as you tune in (Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo) 3- 5 times before beginning your practice (alone or with a class), and follow the instructions for the kriya(s) you practice or teach, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. > I am open to any, and I mean any, advice as to how I should proceed > with my (our) classes. Be faithful to what you have learned, and only teach what you have practiced yourself. Remember these simple truths: the techniques you have learned and are teaching work. All we have to do is practice them. And, the point of KY is to be uplifted and to uplift. Keep working to raise yourself up and you cannot fail to uplift your student. > BTW-I did tell my class that I was only a beginner and expected to > learn as much from them as them from me. That will remain true regardless of how experienced you become. Love & blessings, Sadhant
Guest guest
Sat Nam and Congratulations Mal! I am a new teacher and have been teaching for just a year now. And, I started teaching because some of my massage clients kept at me about when was I going to start a class. There was no one else teaching KY up in my area either. Starting was very difficult for me. After attending the first Master Touch and hearing and learning about what a teacher is was awesome. I wanted to be sure I would do the best I could. Sometimes I think we are too tough on ourselves. My teacher said to relax that your students don't know what you know or don't know. If they ask something I don't know, I let them know I will get back to them with an answer. I don't believe KY is dangerous. If done the way Yogi Bhajan teaches it, it systematically strengthens the nervous system so that the energy can be held. As Yogi Bhajan says Keep up and you will be kept up! All the best to you. Guest guest
Dear Mal, I just wanted to commend you on your first class. We are always guided when we tune in and serve others. It will get easier and more and more fun. And group energy is so powerful. Let us know how it goes. I hope you inspire others on the list to take the big leap. Someone who came to one of my classes once gave a copy of an exercise to a friend. The lady was go grateful. She said she felt so much better. And guess what she didn't even do the exercise. She just drank more water during the day. Never who who we can help live a happier healthier life. SAt nam, Gururattan Kaur

Guest guest
Hi Tony, Do what I did. Learn some postures, practice meditation, practice breathing, find some like-minded friends, some space, ask for inner- guidance-----the rest will unfold as it should;-) I just held my second class and the ladies asked me to make it regular. All I did was try to be sincere in my postures and words--- the energy is amazing, even among us amateurs;-) Have faith in the proven science of Kundalini Yoga, my friend, Mal Kundaliniyoga, Tony Kusnandar <agamklat> wrote: > How i start my first class? > > Sincerely > > > > --- "Gururattan K.Khalsa" <rattanak@c...> > wrote: > > Dear Mal, > > > > I just wanted to commend you on your first class. > > We are always guided when > > we tune in and serve others.
