Guest guest
"Ujjayi" Has anyone ever heard of this type of breathing. In Okinawan-karate, it is called "ibuki" or "Sanchin-breathing". This breathing-pattern forms the core of Sanchin-kata (the main exercise of Okinawan GoJu-Ryu Karate or the "school of hard and soft") ,and is coordinated with alternating patterns of muscle tension and relaxation. Practicing this kata is said to help you resolve the three conflicts of "mind, body, and spirit". The word "Sanchin" actually means "three-conflicts". My research in martial arts just keeps me coming back to India, time after time. Mal
