Guest guest
I attempt to do SAT KRIYA on a regular basis, but if I exceed 2 mins I feel a strange sense of absolute weakness which would last for the next 12 hours. I then feel fine. During SAT KRIYA my body really heats up and I am covered in perspiration by the time I am finished. Has anybody else experienced a similar feeling?? Is this normal for some?? Please advise! Sincerely Riz

Riz, it is very important to relax after Sat Kriya, preferably for twice as long as you practice, and at least as long. Are you doing this? If not, please add this to your practice and let us know if you see some improvement. > During SAT KRIYA my body really heats up and I am covered in >perspiration by the time I am finished. Guest guest
Dear Riz, > I attempt to do SAT KRIYA on a regular basis, but if I exceed 2 mins I feel a strange sense of absolute weakness which would last for the next 12 hours. I then feel fine. Adding to Sadhant's suggestions, you can start with doing Sat Kriya for just one minute. Rest assured that even one minute of Sat Kriya per day will work wonders. Make sure to relax afterwards, and later you can gradually increase the time. One potential reason for the weakness is that your navel area needs to be strenghtened. The navel chakra is the energy center of the body, and through it you can receive energy but also lose energy if this chakra is weak. When the child is still in the mother's womb it receives food and energy through the umbilical cord, which connects to the navel. It is said that after being born we still continue to receive energy through the navel center. Sat Kriya generates and releases a lot of energy, but this energy should go up to the top of the head and not be lost through a weak chakra on the way. So I would recommend doing some exercises to strengthen the navel area. These include alternate and double leg lifts, and of course the ever-popular stretch pose ; ). I think you should find it easier then to do Sat Kriya. Many blessings, Satsang Kaur
