It will be my birthday soon (tomorrow!). I'll be 26 and i was

wondering if there is any special things to do on this special day..

i know my birth hour and all that, and i remember about some shirley

maclaine sayings about our birth day, that its a time where our

energies mixed together giving us a lot of power on projecting our

futur or something like that, but i would like to know what is good

to do on this day.

Do there is any info relating to aging in KY? Is there some serious

turning points at some age (i heard that 25 and 40 bring a lot of

questions, and now i KNOW that 25 has bring me lots of questions

regarding who i am and what i want etc.)?

>From the perspective of the Kabbalah, your birthday is the first day

of your personal year, and the beginning of your Sun period, a time

when the Universe gives you an abundance of new energy to do and be

anything you want. It is a time of growth and expansion, and is a

lucky time - all the obstacles in your life can be easily overcome.

An excellent meditation for the Sun period is Sodarshan Chakra

Kriya. You can learn more about the combination of Kundalini yoga

and the Kabbalah in Gurunam's book "Lifting the Veil".

There are three significant cycles that are sub-cycles of the

complete life-cycle:

Consciousness has a 7-year cycle

Intelligence has an 11-year cycle

Energy & activity has an 18-year cycle

So you can see that 18-22 is an important shift (all three cycles

within a few years), as is 33-36, 54-56, and so forth. Naturally,

change is continuous, but typically changes in those aspects peak

around the end/beginning of the cycles.

Many blessings!

Dear Sukhmani Kaur

Gurunam's books - Lifting the Veil and Alchemy of Love Relationships - are

an excellent introduction to the Kabbalah . He has succeeded in integrating

its teachings with those of Yogi Bhajan.

His new Web site will be online within a few weeks, but meantime you can get

the books from Yoga Technology - http://www.yogatech.com

Dear Sukhmani:

>for more information on Kabbalah?

Kabbalah breaks up the year into 7 periods of 52 days - the planetary

year begins on March 21st, and your personal year begins on your

birthday - in order, the periods are Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury,

Jupiter, Venus, Saturn (I highly recommend "Lifting the Veil" if you

want to learn more).

There are sites out there that discuss the integration of insights

and practices from other forms of yoga with the Kabbalah, but (AFAIK)

Gurnam's work is the only one that integrates it with Kundalini yoga

(at least the KY of Yogi Bhajan).

Many blessings,

Sadhant
