Guest guest
Sat Nam Samantha: > When taking a cold shower, is it mainly for the upper body or the >entier body????? It is for the entire body, although one should wear shorts long enough to cover the upper half of the thigh to protect the sex nerve and the thigh bone from a sudden temperature change. There are a number of specific places to direct the stream of water to - for example, the bottom of the feet stimulates the entire body and causes a deep bodily relaxation. Many blessings and happy cold showers to all! Sadhant
Guest guest
Sat Nam Sadhant, Thank you for your reply. When I take my cold shower, I start with applying some oil to the body. They start the cold water running from the faucet, having it hit my feet. Then I stoop down and place my hands under, when ready, I turn the shower on, standing a bit out of the spray and start with my hands and arms. Then the rest of the body goes under. I usually do not wear any protection, guess I can't get use to the idea, but the cold water doesn't hit my thighs directly. I do briskly rub the thighs when the water hits them. Is this a problem?? Guest guest
Dear Samantha, but the cold water doesn't hit my thighs > directly. I do briskly rub the thighs when the water hits them. Is this a problem?? It could be, but maybe not. Depends on how cold the water is. The thighs regulate the CA Mg balance and can't take shocks of cold water. I think you will instintively know if there is shock to your system. Sat Nam, Gururattan Kaur
Guest guest
Dear Gururattan Kaur, What would some of the symptons of shock be? Sat Nam, Samantha P.S. What is "CA Mg" balance. I find this interesting... haven't tried this cold shower thing yet, but remember late summer swims in cold water that put so much stress on my hip joints that I finally decided it wasn't worth it. At the time all I knew was that it left me feeling uncomfortable in the hip area, as much as I wanted to enjoy the exercise of the swim. It's interesting to be able to make sense out of this connection now. Sat Nam Julia Mars
Guest guest
My wife and I just had a traditional sauna complete with cold showers during the sweat. It always feels great when we do this, but I wondered whether this was something that would be detrimental to my KY practice. Could someone advise me? Guest guest
Dear Joe, Start slowly. If you scent your oil, it helps. It is nice to give your body a nice massage in the am, than into the shower. I usually turn the faucet on first to make sure the water is cold (our water tank is in the cellar and sometimes it is warm instead of cold) and put my feet under it. Then I turn the knob for the shower and do my hands and arms. Rubbing vigorously. You start to get a bit warm after awhile. It also helped to know so many love their cold showers. Blessing to you.
