Guest guest
The instructions for Sat Kriya present two options for the hands: clasped with Jupiter fingers pointing up (for use if recent drug use) and unclasped with palms together (if no recent drug use). I like to clasp my hands in venus lock (no recent drug use). Is that okay? Steve Porter
Guest guest
Dear Steve, > The instructions for Sat Kriya present two options for the hands: > clasped with Jupiter fingers pointing up (for use if recent drug use) > and unclasped with palms together (if no recent drug use). I like to > clasp my hands in venus lock (no recent drug use). Is that okay? That is fine. That is what I do. I find it too stressful to do it with my hands flat. Guest guest
Sat Nam Steve: Just wanted to be sure what you meant here: > The instructions for Sat Kriya present two options for the hands: > clasped with Jupiter fingers pointing up (for use if recent drug >use) and unclasped with palms together (if no recent drug use). I >like to clasp my hands in venus lock (no recent drug use). Is that >okay? Of course it is fine to use venus lock with the index fingers extended regardless of whether or not there is recent drug use - I think this is more an issue of comfort & intensity. My experience is that once I could comfortably manage (for example) 11 minutes of Sat Kriya with the index fingers up, I could then manage 3 minutes with the palms pressed together. So, if you'd like, you can experiment with using the more advanced mudra in a similar fashion to experience the difference - it is harder, but it definitely releases more energy, and if one is pressed for time, this is a good way to get more benefit in less time. However, if you meant that you are using venus lock without the index fingers extended, that is not OK - it should be one of the two options provided. Guest guest
Is the 'Sat Nam' chant supposed to be said silently? Is it really 8 repetitions per 10 seconds? That seems fast. What about breathing during the meditation? Thanks in advance, Richard _____ Send a cool gift with your E-Card http://www.bluemountain.com/giftcenter/
Guest guest
Sat Nam Richard: > Is the 'Sat Nam' chant supposed to be said silently? Thanks in advance, (As the instructions say), there is no specific breath for Sat Kriya - follow the instructions for chanting and pulling the navel point, and let your body find the right breath. Different people will find different breath rhythms - just let it happen. Many blessings, Sadhant
Guest guest
Sat Nam, It is ok to do Sat Kriya slower than 8 repetitions per 10 seconds. Find a good rhythm for yourself. Sat Nam, Gururattan Kaur

Guest guest
Hi Dave, Check with IKYTA on line to find a teacher near you. Contact the teacher and ask if they mind your watching a class.
