Guest guest
I noticed that in the Relax and Renew, only the left leg is raised and held on both sets related to negativity and anger ( pages 38 and 57). What is the significance of that practice. It seems that to balance the body both legs should be raised and held. Thanks so much for your work, books, and this web site. Sat Nam. Perhaps Gururattan can provide extra detail about these particular kriyas, but generally speaking, the answer is: Many kriyas are designed to help balance the body, and in them an asymmetric exercise like these will be repeated on both sides of the body. However, the body is not symmetrical (for example, you only have one liver), and, as well, the two sides of the body represent different aspects of ourselves (as in the right side is sun/physical/male and the left side is moon/emotional/female). So there are also many kriyas, like these, where we work on one side of the body to stimulate those particular aspects (or organs, or whatever). In this case, the exercises appear to be liver stimulators, for the purpose of detoxification (toxicity is clearly related to anger and negativity). Many blessings, Sadhant
Guest guest
Sat Nam, I have nothing to add. This is a great response.
