Guest guest
Dear Dave: > Is there a place I can go view a group practising K.Y. to see if > it is something I would like to try ? I highly recommend that you actually try a KY class (rather than just watching) to see if you like it. Since yoga is really about changing how you feel, this is the only way to find out whether you will like it. Many of the things we do look pretty strange, and this tells you nothing about how it makes you feel inside. Personally, I am not comfortable about having people come in and watch classes - I think it probably makes my students uncomfortable (especially new ones), and I don't think that it benefits the watcher. However, other teachers (and classes) may feel differently about it, and here is a link to all the (certified) KY teachers so you can search for one close to you: <http://www.kundaliniyoga.com/> There are uncertified KY teachers as well, so you might want to consult a phone book or look for ads in local papers if you can't find one through the link above. There is yet another way to find out. You can just try it out for yourself (right now! without even leaving the house. Here is a link to our website where you can get instructions on how to perform a KY set with no teacher or class necessary: <> Try the "Be amazed! Try this Week's Selected Set & Meditation!" link. Many blessings on your chosen path, Sadhant
Guest guest
Thank you for your reply. OK, but if I am observing myself then I won't see what you are doing and how you are doing your movements. That is what I would like to see. Are your classes in the Mesa-Gilbert part of towne ? Dave
Guest guest
Sat Nam, If someone wants to "observe" one of my classes I tell them they have to observe themselves. One guy left. That's ok. We wasn't ready for the experience. Sat Nam, Gururattan Kaur
Guest guest
You can refer to any of Ravi Singh's videos (or other videos) to learn how to do a movement. There are no KY teachers in Hawaii, I'm learning by working with the videos (although I've done Hatha for many years). Ravi's AM/PM Yoga shows how to do Sat Kriya. He has created many videos to choose from - website - www.ziplink.net/~ravi Check it out! Guest guest
Dave, KY is an experience. Most of the exercises are done with the eyes closed. You watch how the exercise is done; then you do it.
