I have been changing the way eat for the better of course in an effort to

repair years of bad eating habits.

Anyway, I've never felt worse! :) I am wondering what KY sets would speed up

the whole detox process. I know there is alot for different organs. But is

there a few that work the whole body?

I have a second question. I have read alot about people eating a high

percentage of raw foods. Would 60-80 percent raw foods mean percent of total

calories are raw? If so, since raw veggies are low in calories, wouln't it

be a very very low calorie diet? Or do you figure this out another way. If

anyone has any info or websites to recommend I would really appreciate it.

Many Blessings,

Deb

Good for you!

It won't last. I went through the same thing when I first started,

and it seems awful, but stick with it. Note that if it becomes too

difficult, it just means you are trying to detox too fast, which is

too much of a strain - just slow down if necessary.

I highly (!!!) recommend fasting as a part of the detox process, and

as an ongoing part of a health lifestyle. Check Paul Bragg's books

(and many others) for info on fasting.

One of my favorites is "Detoxification and Vitality", which was part

of a series from Gurucharan called "Happiness is your Birthright" -

it may be found elsewhere, I'm still looking.

Note that breath of fire and sitali pranayam are both excellent for

detoxification - I recommend plenty of both during any intense detox

periods. Follow the BOF with sitali to cool yourself down,

particularly if you do more than 3 minutes of BOF..

Sets for elimination are good (several may be found in Relax and

Renew"), as are sets for the immune system (a whole section

in "Transitions to a Heart-Centered World", and so are sets for

circulation, regeneration, and removing negativity (the emotion

manifestation of toxification.

I am eating 90-95% raw these days, so I've been studying this quite a

bit. I am most impressed with David Wolfe's work on the subject -

his site is:

<http://www.davidwolfe.com/>

I highly recommend his book, the "Sunfood Diet Success System". You

will learn all about issues of caloric input and many other things

from this book.

Naturally, you will need to adjust your caloric input to the amount

of exercise you are getting, but getting sufficient calories on this

diet is really not a problem. Some vegetables don't have high

caloric values, but some do (consider the avocado), and certainly

fruits, nuts, and seeds supply plenty of calories.

FYI, my energy level is very high, and I feel much better and more

clear since I began this (I've slowly been transitioning toward more

and more raw for the last 6-7 months). This diet is wonderful for

detoxification and for many other health benefits!

Other good sites are:

<http://www.rawfoodists.com/>

<http://www.living-foods.com/recipes/>

Try typing in "raw food" at Google (or your preferred search engine)

and you'll find lots to read.

Love & blessings for excellent health and joy,

Sadhant
