Progress Report:

Today is day 30 for me on YB's Millet & Tofu weight loss diet. This

is basically eating 1 cup of cooked millet & 1 lb. of tofu per day

with any veggies, I use Bragg's to flavor (as recommended, it is

great stuff!) and only fruit & tea after 4 pm. Eliminate sugars (yes

including honey, maple syrup ect.) and caffine).

When I started I had been gaining weight which I can ill afford to

do. I've struggled with weight all my life plus in the last few years

high blood pressure and there is a history of heart disease in my

family so gaining weight was dangerous for me. I do not weigh myself

but have lost at least an inch plus in circumference and 3 inches off

my waist! (where I carry my weight). I feel much more energetic and

at the same time I am calmer. I made a commitment to do this for 40

days because I wanted to retrain my eating habits. I'm gentle with

myself about it. The diet is not suppose to have caffine but I drink

green tea and I use a soy milk with some fat in it as a creamer for

my yogi tea (just watching the amount I use). My big vice is an

occasional diet coke. In the evening if hungry I eat a banana and a

few times I had extra tofu. I plan to stay on this diet for a longer

time so I need to be able to live with it. This is the first weight

loss diet that I've been on that I like! I have always hated dieting

so its a major breakthrough. I keep thinking that I've eaten too much

fruit but I keep losing weight so I don't worry about it and pretty

much have any fruit I want. I am enjoying trying on clothes that

haven't fit for a while and those forward bending poses are getting

easier!

The booklet, Weight-Loss Diet aka The Millet Diet by Bibiji Inderjit

Kaur, is available at the Ancient Healing website as is a great

selection of Yogi brand teas.
