Guest guest
Hello! I just want to mention that if anyone uses Microsoft Outlook a very useful email tool in it is using the "organize" feature and making a rule to have messages with for example, "kundaliniyoga" in the subject line go into their own folder right after they are received. Very useful. I hope I'm not off topic here! Sat Nam, littlebird Leslie gordon [gordon] Tuesday, June 26, 2001 4:15 PM Kundaliniyoga Digest Mode Hi to All, and a warm welcome to all our new rs. We now have over 750 members on this list, but at times we are victims of our own success. Some of you have complained about the volume of mail, which can get high at busy times. There is one simple answer - change your subscription to Digest Mode - send a blank email to kundaliniyoga-digest from your present d address. This means you will only receive one email per day, or maybe 2 on exceptionally busy days. Each email contains up to 26 list messages. One related point, which is especially important for digest messages. When replying, please delete everything except the person's name and posting date and ***directly relevant*** material from the original message. Otherwise you will send the entire digest to the list, and the next day's digest will be twice as long as the previous one, and things can very quickly get out of hand. Finally, please insure that you use the correct Subject heading for your messages. If replying to one part of a message, then if necessary choose a new heading which matches your message content. This makes it much easier for folk to follow the threads that interest them, and ignore the rest. Enjoy your Kundalini Yoga Sat Nam! Guest guest
Sat Nam Leslie, and thank you for this tip. I have been trying to change my preferences to read the KY list mail at the club site, but without success. Now I don't have to. Also, I would thank all of you who contribute your time and energy to this list in so many ways, and a special thanks to Sadhant Singh for your account of Solstice. It was just as beautiful and powerful for me as well, but I enjoyed hearing it come from someone else. Many Blessings to all, Bob Knight
Guest guest
This is a great idea. How do you find the organize feature? Sat Nam, Gururattan Kaur
Guest guest
In Microsoft Outlook the "organize" feature can be found on the tool bar to the right of where common commands like "send," and "reply" are. When you click on it a menu will open up. From there click on the "rules wizard" located in the upper right hand corner. Select "New rule", and go from there. I suggest making the rule to move messages with "kundaliniyoga" in the subject line to a kundalini yoga folder you will have to create. If you are using multiple rules, it can be good to check the, "and stop processing more rules" box to prevent getting duplicate messages in different folders. Sat Nam and Happy organizing! littlebird Leslie Gururattan K.Khalsa [rattanak] Wednesday, June 27, 2001 6:22 PM Kundaliniyoga Re: Digest Mode microsoft outlook folders This is a great idea. Guest guest
Dear non-Outlook users: > In Microsoft Outlook the "organize" feature can be found on the If you are using Outlook Express instead of Outlook, the same feature is found on the Tools menu, under Message Rules/Mail. Many other e-mail programs have similar features - for example, in Netscape, the message rules are referred to as filters. Please consult your individual e-mail help for detailed instructions on having your incoming e-mail sorted into folders. All blessings, Sadhant
