Guest guest
First let me thank those who keep this list going. Thanks! 'The Self-Healing Cookbook' by Kristina Turner has great info about healing the body through diet. It is based on a vegetarian macro-biotic diet and is a wealth of great info about all aspects of healthy eating. Then, since I cannot sing the praises of the millet diet enough. Here is a recipe I just found in this book: Millet "Mashed Potatoes" 2 c. millet 1 small cauliflower (approx. 2 c. flowerettes) 1/4 tsp sea salt 7 c. water Lightly roast millet. Bring water to boil, and add millet, cauliflower and salt. Cover and simmer 25 minutes. Puree in a food mill or food processor adding more water if need. (I just mashed cooked cauliflower with already cooked millet using a fork, and used Bragg's instead of salt), a little bit of crumbled blue cheese.... ummmmm delicious! "I know that with millet in my diet, my temperament, my blood sugar, my blood pressure, and myself will be peaceful and calm, able to fly high like a white pigeon, symbol of peace against the vast, blue sky". - Yogi Bhajan Peggy Sue
