Guest guest
I currently do two 11 minute meditations soon to be followed by a third. I find that I like to rest for three minutes between meditations since it stabalizes my breathing pattern and relives back stress. Is this an appropriate practice, or should one move from one mediation to another w/out breaks. Thanks in advance for your help. Joe

There are meditations that provide specific instructions for what one should do afterward, such as always resting after Sat Kriya. In the absence of such instructions (and in general), do what feels right to you - as you are doing. Many blessings, Sadhant
Guest guest
I meditate for at least an hour while listening to a healing mantra CD. During this time, my body goes thru a series of kriyas, jerks and contortions. i always feel very refreshed after. is it better to break up meditation into smaller timeframes, or just go for it. (there are times when the CD is finished but my body is not. when i try to awaken, i am very sluggish and feel like i'm moving in slow motion. then i know to return to meditation and relax a bit longer.) does anyone have similar experiences? k Sadhant Singh <kundaliniyoga wrote: Sat Nam Joe: > I currently do two 11 minute meditations soon to be followed by a >third. Go for it! The "after" part is what really matters. Does anybody really really (honest, folks : )! ) like stretch pose and the White Tantric "marathons" while they are doing them? But I don't know anyone who doesn't love the effects. If you feel like coming out of meditation earlier then by all means do. You can always go back and do another session if you feel like it. However, if you feel like continuing a long meditation, then that is very good. Please note that there are some meditations in KY that recommend a certain number of minutes. If you are doing some of these then it is good to follow the recommended time. Many blessings, Satsang Kaur

Is this an appropriate practice, or should one move from one mediation to another w/out breaks. Your practice is appropriate. You can also inhale, raise your hands above your head, rub your palms together and shake your arms after each meditation. This brings you back to a neutral space to begin the next meditation. We usually so this at the end of each class. Sat nam, Gururattan Kaur
