Does anyone on the list know where to get a good meditation chair. A very good online resource is http://www.fourgates.com/meditation.asp . They have excellent "back jacks" and many other helpful accessories, including buckwheat cushions etc. If you have lower back problems I would recommend also getting knee pillows since many times trying to keep your knees on the floor is what causes lower back pain. I have seen some great ones (also filled with buckwheat hulls, which are great for support) at http://www.bookstore.siddhayoga.org which has lots of meditation products (look under Meditation Asanas and Cushions and then click on the Cushions link). Hope this helps. Many blessings, Satsang Kaur
Guest guest
I too have lower back problems and find that i can sit with my legs straight out, but comfortable to the sides--spread eagle. i gives me balance, i can rest my hands on my knees and straighten my back without any discomfort. this takes the pressure off my tailbone. else, i lie down which gives me the most powerful meditation experiences because i can relax my entire body. k
