Guest guest
Sat Nam! I am delighted to have Shakta Kaur's book "Kundalini Yoga". However I am not clear about one of the exercises on P128 To Be Rid of Internal Anger. The text describes the Fighting Pose " Sit with a straight spine and bring your hands into tight fists and begin to hit the space between than hands at the solar plexus area the forearms will cross each other at the chest level. As they cross powerfully chant Har. Keep up the striking motion with the fists. HIt hard so the whole body reverberates." I understand this to mean you are not actually hitting your body but the air correct? Frances

Strike the air as powerfully as you can - imagine you are punching whatever it is that is making you angry in the first place, imagine beating up anger itself, so that it will leave you alone and peace will take its place. Many blessings, Satsang Kaur
Guest guest
Sat Nam, I prefer to do this exercise with the breath standing up with running in place. So I guess that is a different exercise, but it is done for the same reasons. You punch out. You are not hitting yourself. > > The text describes the Fighting Pose > > " Sit with a straight spine and bring your hands into tight fists and begin to hit the space between than hands at the solar plexus area the forearms will cross each other at the chest level.
