I've been saving in a file all the replies of my personal interest, and I have these valuable notes written by Sadhant. "The benefits of cold showers are as follows: They open up the capillaries, flush the internal organs, prevent the body from developing an extra layer of fat, cause the body to eliminate toxins & poisins, strengthen the mucous membranes, keep the skin young & shining, help liver function, reduce nervousness, and build immunity to colds, flu, etc. Gururattan has also mentioned that it is good for the aura. Also, a cold shower acts as a tonic(a stimulant for better health, improved blood circulation, and better muscle tone), and stimulates the glandular system, speeds up metabolism, and Strengthens the entire nervous system. Throughout history, hydrotherapy with cold water has been useful for treating shock, fever, cancer, skin diseases, infections (including abcesses, carbuncles, and prostatitis) and hemorrhages (including cerebral hemorrhages). It is useful in chronic conditions where body functions are below normal, for example: diabetes, obesity, hypothyroid conditions, and low blood pressure. More benefits for women: corrects unbalanced menses, prevent early menopause, help with skin problems, maintain your natural glow! One caution: if you have a circulatory disease such as Reynaud's syndrome, cold showers (or baths) are forbidden. A mild alternative (or introduction) is a cold sponge bath - you might also use a loofah or rough cotton washcloth. Expose one section of yourself at a time and scrub until the skin is red with new blood, and follow this by drying briskly. Repeat for each part of the body. More notes: it is best to prepare by massaging yourself with almond or sesame oil. Women should wear shorts that cover about half the thigh to protect the thigh bone from sudden temperature changes (the thigh regulates calcium and magnesium production & balance). Men should wear underwear or shorts to protect the testicles. Don't stand still - dance - move - breathe deeply! Move in and out of the water, rubbing your skin vigorously. If you are very cold sensitive, try these tips. Pre-heat the massage oil. Have a cup of hot herbal tea. Do 26 frogs, run in place for 3 minutes, and do 2 minutes of leg lifts (lying on the back, hand under hips, inhale and lift the legs to 90 degrees, exhale back down)." This group it's a wonderful gift, full of ligth. Sat Nam Carlos Get personalized email addresses from Mail http://personal.mail./
