Can anyone explain?

Hi, I'm maria, I'm 22 year old student of art and

philosophy, I've just recently started to meditate more

often and I have a question. I hope this is going to the

right address, I'm a little confused about this bulletin

board business. Ok, if it's going out to the fellow

meditators, here's my question! When I meditate I usually

sit and try to establish my chakras pretty well, I dont

feel all of them as much as my third eye, its a really

strong pull. Sometimes I paralyze my body and I have to lie

down. When I do that it feels like all the energy is in my

head and it is moving it around, to the left, to the right,

down, like if someone was on top of me pressing and

stretching my head with all their strength. I had to stop

because my neck starts to hurt, my head literally feels

like it wants to do a 360, i'm really not exagerating. I

had to stop, I dont know why this is happening. I also

dont know how to face north (?)...what is the importance of

that? and do the planetary positions have anything to do

with this?...Please if there is someone with experience,

reply to this message, or can u recommend some books about

astrology and meditation?...I"m unexperienced, need all the

enlightenment I can get...

Dear Maria,

 

Gordon has given you the links for all my astrology newsletters. The books I

use are at the end in references. I recommend Alan Oken's books to begiin

with.

 

Re all the energy in your head -- you need to concentrate in your lower

chakras to bring the energy down and distribute it. Pumping the navel is a

good way to do that and also being present to the sensations in your body.

Just a thought, it sounds like Sat Kirya would be a very good practice for

Maria to add.
