Guest guest
I am having difficulty prioritizing my crazy lifestyle. I have so many duties to accomplish everyday (as I'm sure everyone else does also!). What is the best way to incorporate kundalini yoga into your daily routine? How much time should be invested daily in the beginning? I picked up a book today titled, "Kundalini Yoga"(Unlock Your Inner Potential Through Lifechanging Exercise), by Shakta Kaur Khalsa. Has anyone read this book? It looks like a great beginner's manual, showing many yoga positions. Shelley
Guest guest
Sat Nam Shelley, For myself, I find doing my sadhana the very first thing in the morning is a great and wonderful way to start the day. I start with a cold shower then on to my practice. I allow myself the extra time by getting up early so I have the time to do it. As far as time???? How much time are you willing to invest in yourself???? Believe me, giving yourself the time and space to do KY will definitely improve the way your crazy lifestyle unfolds. I haven't read Shakta's book but two other very good books are Kundalini Yoga, The Flow of Eternal Power by Shakti Parwha Kaur Khalsa, she was Yogi Bhajan's first students, and Kundalini Yoga Guidelines for Sadhana. Both are excellent. Keep up and You will be kept up. Blessings to you. Guest guest
Hello! A student of mine has the book you mention. She showed it to me and I thought it looked really good. It had a lot of sets I was familiar with, but presented them with high quality photography, which seems a new presentation that is nice and up to date and such. It seemed to cover a lot basics. As far as encorporating the yoga into your daily routine goes, the morning is the most ideal. But you do have to find what works for you. I think it would be good to try to be consistant and find a time you can do it everyday.
