Guest guest
Sat Nam, Satsang I suppose that this tread can be summed up thursly: If you find focusing on the tip of the nose distracting or difficult then by all means focus on the third eye point or through the chin. However, your lengthly reponse led me to another question. If there is no essential difference in crossing your eyes above (to the third eye point) or in crossing your eyes below (to the tip of the nose) then why do authors such as Dr. Dharma specifically indicate different places to focus the attention during different meditations? For example, on the Kirtan Kriya he recommends focusing on the third eye point, but for the special meditation for fifth chakra he has you focus on the tip of the nose. Perhaps there is no easy answer to this question. And truth to tell, perhaps I don't want to know too much; for at present, I feel OK in focusing at some other place than the tip of the nose on that aforementioned fifth chakra meditation. And that's what I really wanted to hear anyway. Blessings, Joe
