Guest guest
Sat Nam, For me, I like to try different variations so that I don't get caught up only one way to meditate. No matter where I focus my attention; tip of nose or third eye, I feel pressure and a burning sensation. I believe that I am in a very relaxed state so as not to "try too hard". But this always happens for the first few minutes. Can there be a blockage? peace/ellen

So this could be energy burning your to the next level. I wouldn't consider it a blockage. I would consider it an opening. Guest guest
Dear Maria, I just has the most obvious revelation. Your energy is staying at your third eye because you are doing third eye meditations. If you want it to shift, do heart and navel meditations. And let us know the results. Guest guest
Gururattan, yes i agree with you, i suspected an energy build-up in my head. yes, i am doing navel and heart meditations, actually the only "action" i take to stimulate my third eye is chant "ong na mo" in my head all day, no third eye meditations (promise! *s). I was wondering if the ooooonnnnnnnng sound is the vibration that stimulates the third eye, i'm beginning to study about the sounds of the chakras. Guest guest
Awtar: Thank you for your note. It is helpful. yes, I do understand the idea of the third eye not as a visualization, but as a physical location. The visual things that happen are not something I control, at least not that I'm aware of, it is just what is going on when I focus the gaze toward the middle brow. Mostly I have trouble turning the day off, but then re-focus on breathing. The thing that gets me the most is when I focus on breathing, and then have that inner conversation that I need to focus on breathing, which means that my mind is wandering. So even when I'm not thinking about anything at all, I'm thinking that I need to let go. Like I said. I'm very new to this! As far as the physical sensation, it doesn't give me a true full out headache, but it is somewhat uncomfortable sometimes. At times I experience quite a bit of dizziness as well. I'm prone to motion sickness, so maybe movement with my eyes closed may be why. Thank you.

For the longest time I only just saw this white light around the corner of my eye, which I would follow around and around. Once I understood I was looking too closly and focused (or flew) out I saw an eye, been there ever since. From here, I try flying into the centre of the pupil avoiding the darkness and trying to hit any of the specs of light you see as I fly through. That't one of my mental checkpoints I keep to judge how far I am. > As far as the physical sensation, it doesn't give me a true full out headache, but it is somewhat uncomfortable sometimes. I like the feedback, tells me somethings going on. I am probably newer to ky than you so don't count on me for yoga advice about directing energies ..etc ;-), my excperiances have just happened throughout my life. I am only now understanding what's going on and found the ky path. I'm just sharing some of my personal experiances. > Thank you. > > > regards Darryl PS: sat nam :-)
Guest guest
Jan: You're doing great! When people say "tune out the day!" or "don't let your mind wander!" these are just expressions... You cannot really turn off your mind or tune out the day. I would not even suggest it strictly speaking... What you are practicing is to find your neutral observer and experience your mind wandering and your day coming in and out of focus. It is about practicing being in the presence of all or that, of the distractions the mind and the body provide and remaining unattached, just being almost simply amused by all this drama that is playing out before us! And you will find that in the same way that physical agitation disolves as you observe and feel it in your sensations, your mind will calm down as you simply observe it. It is practicing finding that space within that does not need to react. So when you find yourself caught up in the drama, you simply find your neutral observing space and keep practicing. I think your dizziness and nausea will slowly dispapear as you feel more and more comfortable with this practice to. Blessings! Guest guest
Darryl: It's less about guiding the energy than watching where the energy is stuck and and finding a way to release the block. You know the energy is stuck when you feel pain, or resistance, or tension. And then it is about total acceptance of where you are and making space for the energy trapped in the tension to move freely where it wants to.... and your job is to just be aware, consciously and notice any judgments along the way so you have a choice not to believe them!
