Guest guest
Last winter I went to a Vipassana meditation retreat where we sat for 45 min sets. During one set we were asked to observe any physical sensations in our bodies and name and describe them as they arose. Instead of trying to not notice the itch, or discomfort, this meditation suggested we pay close attention to the sensation describing it to ourselves, burning, poking, ache ect. and then watch it change, as it surely will. This seemed to defuse the power of the distraction. It helped me be able sit still. Peggy Sue
