Guest guest
Hello, I'd appreciate if someone could explain what Spontaneous Awakening is. What it depends on when and how it is going to happen? Thank you, Agali. Guest guest
Dear Agali, > I'd appreciate if someone could explain what > Spontaneous Awakening is. What it depends on when and > how it is going to happen? If we knew all that then it wouldn't be spontaneous ; )! As opposed to an awakening through sadhana, a spontaneous awakening happens at its own will. IT is not something you do, or expect. It just happens. Some people who have had spontaneous awakenings had been meditating previously, or done some sort of spiritual practice. Some have not, at least, not in this lifetime. So if it is going to happen, it is only "it" who would decide. Keep doing your practices and something will certainly come through sadhana. Guest guest
Dear Agali and Satsang Kaur, My understanding of an awakening is being able to see whatever is in front of your face and being able to deal with it with common sense and a steady, high life condition no matter what the situation is. Whether this is what an awakening means I don't know. However I remember a time when I was in the dark and could not understand things or know things that now I find to be just common sense. Is this maybe what both of you are referring to by awakening? Only spontaneous, meaning to all of a sudden come to have this wisdom, not gradually obtaining it? I'm just curious to further understand what spontaneous awakening really means? Or what it means to each of you? Sincerely, Jasjit K. This not the normal definitiion but in fact it is a very wise one. This is the result we want. Pieter gave a good definition. The simple definition is that all of a sudded we wake up.
