Guest guest
Dear Seva Simran: ¿The order by numbers listed below is related to where each chakra is located? In wich of Gururattan Books are these mantras you mentioned? Also, do you know if there's a tape or Cd to chant along with these mantras? I've been chanting long Ek Ong kar ...(#6), for 7 mins. during my sadhana,, but I´d like to know how to chant the others. Guest guest
1: perineum, anus, legs etc. 2; sexual area, pelvis, base of spine 3: abdomen, lumbar region 4: chest 5: throat, neck, jaw 6: 3rd eye, eyes, forehead, 7: top region of head 8: aura That's the basic location of each chakra, if that is what you are asking. Guru Rattana has a book about the chakras if you are interested. Except for number one and number 5, which are mantras not used much in kundalini yoga anymore, the mantras are in all her books. As you might expect however, there are a lot of different ways to chant them. Is there one specifically in which you are interested? Guest guest
I have on Cd, # 6 and 7, and I'd like to listen the rest of them, and how they are chanted. My question is if you or someone else know about tapes or Cd's with these mantras. Guest guest
You probably won't find the specific reference that I gave as the correspondance between mantras and chakras was from a series of classes with YB in the 70's and I haven't seen any specific reference like it since. The various mantras themselves however, are found scattered throughout the various manuals. As a result, I think that if you were to chant the particular mantra specified for a particular chakra then you would be influencing that chakra a little more than the others. I suggest experimentation. Guest guest
Dear Carlos and all, Sat Nam. Every mantra activates the 5th chakra because it is sound. Mantras with Har activate the navel especially if you pump the navel. the HH sound also activates the heart. Many KY mantras activate all the chakras, for instance long Ek ong Kars and Ra MA DA SA. In the KY practice the effect of the mantra is enhanced by how we do it. For instance, Saaaaaaa in the 7 wave meditation is felt in each of the chakras. RA MA DA SA SA SAY SO HUNG can be vibrated up the chakras. Hung goes out the top of the head. Sa is repeated at the heart. Although there are specific sets and meditations that focus on one or more chakras, the overall goal of KY is wholeness, thus most of the kriyas will work on many of the chakras and achieve a state of balance in the whole being.
