Guest guest Posted August 12, 2001 Report Share Posted August 12, 2001 There are a number of reasons for the Turban....a few of which are not known by Traditional Indian Sikhs. The wraps of material place a pressure that stimulates the meridians and bring a balance that allows your pineal and pituitary glands to function. The turban also holds the sacral cranial adjustment (the bones of the skull) that a good yogic practices creates. The first time I put on a turban in '86 there was a definite buzz right where my 3rd eye is for several days. This is not something that I imagined or was told I would be experiencing....it just happened. There are days when after my practice I still need something and putting on a full turban can totally make for a nice mental space and really clear one's energy. It's often a matter of how worthy you feel of your own magnificence. Sometimes one needs to be willing to stand out in order to feel outstanding.
