The "little point" mentioned for the seventh chakra simply means that "M" should be added if repeating mentally or "NG" if audibly. This little point (anusvara) is present on all 7 bija mantras. So for example if you are audibly repeating bija mantra for muladhara you say LANG (pronounced LUNG).
