Guest guest
Sat Nam, I have a lymph node on the right side of my neck that has turned into a cyst. It has been growing for about 60 days and is about 1 1/2 in diameter. I've recently seen a surgeon, who wants to remove it if there is no improvement in the next six weeks. Please if anyone has any suggestions on how I can deal with this let me know. I've been taking cold showers and eating vegetarian since Solstice. Someone suggested doing a yoga set for lymph cleansing but I'm not sure how to find the best one. Please help I don't want surgery. Thank You, Dawn

Guest guest
Hello Dawn, My name is Sherry, and I have been so remiss and erratic in my meditations that I feel somewhat uneasy addressing you. At the same time, I am an active practitioner of shamanism and had a spontaenous kundalini awakening a few years ago, so I have been through a few of the trials that an active kundalini surging through unready chakras can bring. The latest of these being in my throat chakra, recently. At least, I believe that is what happened. Last year, it was a cardiologist for heart irregularities and severe pain; this just disappeared and my aura turned this vibrant rose pink for a month. Then approximately a month ago, I awoke on a Monday with my neck feeling strange. On Thursday, I went to the doctor and she sent me for xrays. When the xrays came back the following week, they showed a spot on my windpipe or somewhere around there. They arranged a cat scan for the following week. When the result for the two (2) cat scans (one with iodine, one without) came back, they showed absolutely nothing. The spot had totally disappeared. Needless to say, the doctors were completely baffled,as was I. But, although Shakti has been pretty silent for 6 months, a couple of months before this throat thing, I would wake myself up vibrating a note when I exhaled. It even reached a point where I would wake myself up trying to figure out whether I was humming an "A" or a "G", which is itself strange as I am not a perfect pitch person. After the throat problem surfaced, I looked up and found that the 5th chakra note is "G". And it was more like a vibration than a hum, that I was doing. Rather like an "G" note snore on the exhale, more than a hum. Anyway, I digress, I only mean to say that I think work on the throat chakra had been coming on for a few months. When the first xray results came in showing the spot, I started meditating on the throat chakra and vibrating the note "G" consciously. I also started taking 100,000 I.U.usp of Beta Carotene a day for the free radicals. I also did Reiki treatments on myself with my hands on my throat. Whether what I did cured my throat, I only know that the spot went away. The only reasonable explanation the doctors had was that sometimes you will have a small tear in a throat muscle that can bleed and swell and make a spot, but that is usually caused by a trauma that you recall and I did not do anything traumatic to my throat. That was the only explanation they had though, and they said it had to be that or something like that because xrays don't lie. I personally think it could be that the throat chakra was releasing some poison. That was one of the possibilities that was put forth here on the kundalini site. I didnot mean to confuse you, and this, I am sure, will have to be edited, but I did want you to at least understand what I had and what I did and that it went away. I felt it was a duty to let you know this, as I was blessed. Much love and Light to you Lightworker
Guest guest
Dawn, A good combination of herbs to clear the blood and lymph congestion is red clover and violet leaf. You can get these in bulk from herb suppliers online, or maybe where you live. (I'm in Canada so...I can't really give you my herb contacts unless you are here, too)Use equal amount of each in a pot or jar (not metal)at night, pour over boiling water, cover and leave until morning...then drink the concentration the next day. It doesn't have much taste to it and you can drink it cold. Do this every night. I would suggest a book called "Healing Wise" by Susun Weed...lots of info on these herbs and how they work. They are gentle on the body, yet powerful healers. You could also look at doing a detox for your body. Do it smart, though, with fresh juices, pure water, herb teas...relax, do breathing a light yoga, for 3 to 5 days and see if that makes a difference. Lymphatic congestion is due to stagnation of the blood, usually because there are too many toxins in the body and it can't work fast enough to get it out. The liver stores a lot of toxins, and that can show up as cysts. Milk Thistle is a good herb for the liver. An old remedy is a castor oil poultice. Soak a towel in castor oil and then place in the oven to heat the towel. Place on the effected area (don't burn yourself) and then either place a hot water bottle around it or something to keep the heat in. Do this 2 times a day for as long as you can stand to. Castor oil is sort of a cure all and has been use to dissolve breast cysts and others. It's worth a try, I think. Try doing a search on Lymphatic congestion on the net and see what you can find...these are what I know first hand, so I pass it along to you and hope you find some relief. Also...try not to worry too much. the mind is a powerful thing. sat nam Kelly ///(*_*)\\\ >DawnsStars >Kundaliniyoga >Kundaliniyoga > Lymphatic cyst >Fri, 17 Aug 2001 15:51:35 EDT > >Sat Nam, > I have a lymph node on the right side of my neck that has turned into a >cyst. Guest guest
Dear Dawn, A lymphatic cyst is a very dangerous thing, and especially in areas that are hard to operate such as your neck. I don't mean to scare you, but I know two people who had such cysts and they turned malignant. One of them is my father. You can of course do the lymphatic sets. I understand you don't want surgery, but it is my recommendation to have it done asap. Here is a set you can do in the meantime: 1. Sit down with your legs extended wide apart in front of you. Sit with your spine straight and hands on the knees. Inhale deeply as you flex the spine forward, then exhale as you flex the spine back. Keep the knees straight. Continue for 2 mins. 2. In the same position as above, place your palms flat on the floor in front of you. Keep the spine straight. Put as much pressure as you can on the palms and heels, as if trying to lift yourself off the floor. Keep the tension while doing long deep breathing for 2 mins. 3. Sit in easy pose. Make your hands into fists, and then extend the arms out straight alternately in a punching motion, inhaling as the arms pass each other and exhaling as each arm reaches its full extension. The breath will become breath of fire. Continue for 2 min. You can do these exercises separately. The last one removes toxins from the lymph glands of the shoulder / neck areas so that is probably the one you would want to do the most.
