Guest guest
Hi, I have a few views on this I think. I won't know until it is written out in this email. First, about the comment that if you kill a cow, you will become one in your next life and be killed. If that were ture, imagine what this world would be like! No, this life is for experience, but the karma isn't that bad. We learn, and so then it is over, and we move on. Oh, and plus, if the world were like that, imagine howmany lifetimes we would have! Like I said, we learn a lesson, and move on. My second view on this is that everything in the universe happens for a reason. So then, well, there wouldn't be any karma. Well, actually, this is the view of someone who had an awakening. I read it on a website, but I don't remember which one. Anyway, they said that everything in this universe is how it is suppose to mean. That everything in our life was planned before we were born. Now, on vegetarianism, well, first, I hate vegetables! Okay, I am a Witch, and the Wiccan rede, and only everything else that is in writing in the Wiccan religion, and the oldest law there is is An' ye harm none, do what ye will. Which, basically means, as long as you don't harm anybody, you can do what you want. But, it is impossible to go through life without hurting someone. If you are out somewhere, and you really, really, want to just say something terrible to a person, but you resist, because you don't want to hurt them, you are harming yourself. And, most Witches are vegetarians, I am not, but this website quots that a thinking Witch would know that a plant is just the same as an animal. So, the Wiccan Rede can't be fulfilled totally, but you just go through life trying to avoiding people as much as possible, and eventually, you will harm less and less, but don't force yourself to not harm, for that is harming yourself. Just practice. So, for those people who are not vegetarians, but want to be one, but don't like vegetables, don't be a vegetarian until you can handle. Another thing is that when you are eating meat, or vegetables, or wearing leather, that being is already dead and so nobody is being hurt then. If there is any karma, shouldn't it go to the person that killed the animal? And, we have to stay alive. Animals kill other animals everyday and they don't worry about it. That's my view. Sorry for babling. Blessed be Leaf
Guest guest
This is topic that has gone around my family for years...so I'll jump in here and say my piece. Being vegetarian does not mean that you don't wear leather or wool, it means that you don't eat any animal flesh, eggs, or dairy. If you are lacto-ovo veg, you eat eggs and dairy...if you are lacto veg, you eat dairy....you get the point. People who say they are vegetarian, but they eat fish (?) are simply NOT vegetarian...period. A VEGAN is one who does not eat any animal or insect by product what so ever.....no meat, milk, cheese, eggs, butter, honey...nothing that comes from an animal or is produced by an animal. They also wear no animal by product...leather, suede, wool, velvet..the list is pretty extensive. The reasons for being vegan are primarily ethical, while it seems that for many vegetarians, it is a combination of health reasons and ethics, and for many, religious beliefs. so lets go further...if you are one that believes that since plants are living then they too should not be consumed, then you would be a fruitarian...one that only eats the "fruits" of plants (this includes nuts), and therefore, does not do any harm to the plant. At the furtherest extreme, we have Breatharian, who survive on prana. Don't know any personally, but I have heard and read that they do exist. Don't try this at home, kids. In regards to yogi tea...there is no caffiene in yogi tea. It does not actually contain tea leaves, rather it is a mixture of spices and herbs. It is not like traditional chai, which has black tea in it. sat nam kelly _______________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
