Guest guest
HI, Isn't that why you try to raise the kundalini? Every single one of us who does not have their kundalini rissen has it. Judgement, hatred, you can't escape it! Even the nicest person in the world has it. Look at the way they talk, or anything like that. It is impossible for us to do what you said, to not judge. Sure, it sounds nice and easy in that email, but actually try it, if you pay attention, you'll catch yourself saying or thinking things with judgement and hatred and anger. Blessed be leaf
Guest guest
Leaf, Oh certainly! I do not disagree. You cannot always escape the initial thought of judgement, the initial thought of aversion (aversion, as opposed to hatred--which I think can be avoided completely--but I suppose that's semantics...) but, the point IS to pay attention. Notice when you begin to pass judgments. Mindfully observe your reactions to things...and then let them go. I would not designate those that respond, speak and act with a lot of judgement, hatred and anger one of the "nicest person in the world". "Nice" people are not always the least judgemental. Being non-judgmental (that is; being mindful of your judgements and not attaching to them) is not the same thing as being nice....(but then again, that's me being a bit judgemental, isn't it (grin)) I do catch myself thinking and occasionally saying things that I would rather I did not. The point is I'm more aware of it and I try to work through my judgments--look at them just for what they are--and then move on. Blessed Be to you as well! --Mel --- Joe0464 wrote: > HI, > Isn't that why you try to raise the kundalini? > Every single one of us who > does not have their kundalini rissen has it. > Judgement, hatred, you can't > escape it! Guest guest
Blessed Be Leaf, My name is Joe Grant and I am also a Witch. As a person who has been judged up one side and down the other I think I can speak well on this subject. I have been over weight all of my like. School was not an enjoyable experience for me. Everyday I went to school and wondered what was going to happen that day. I am also gay and from a small conservative town in Kentucky so my sexuality was not welcomed news to say the least. As I have already stated I am a Witch. I have received reactions from fear to out and out hatred. I have been told many times of the horrors of hell fire and damn nation. Most of the people where I am from are Southern Baptist, need I say more. The point I am trying to get at is all you have to do is choose not to judge. It is that simple. I know it is not easy. I find myself making judgements and I shake off the thought. As time goes by, it gets easier. Yes, holding things can harm us, but all thoughts are is energy. Just let go of that negative thought and you let go of the energy behind it. I hope this helps. Blessed Be Joe Grant Ps. Hatred and fear come out of judgements. Alleviate the judgements and you alleviate the hatred and the fear. Peace and Blessings
Guest guest
Hi Leaf, For anyone trying to live a spiritual life one has to try one's best NOT to do those things . Doing KY hekps to transmute those emotions - we can't help how we react to a given situation, but we can control how far we involve ourselves in those negative emotions. The choice is ours to give in to them, or to change ourselves - which doesn't happen in a day or a night, it requires persistance and commitment. Isn't that what the spiritual life is all about -- trying to become the best human eoings we can be ? love to all, Avtar Kaur ______________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Guest guest
Yeah, it sounds real nice to say we shouldn't judge, but I'm not sure that is really practical to survival. There is nothing wrong with judging that a particular person does not look safe and avoiding them, for example. I don't think the truth is no judgement anymore than I think the reality is 'all one'. Also for this topic of vegetarianism, it is about being balanced and true to ourselves. In sanskrit it is known as "achintya beta beta tattva, simultaneous oneness and difference". Guest guest
It sounds like there needs a distinction to be made between a judgment and an opinion. "judging that a particular person does not look safe may be more of an observation or an opinion.
