Guest guest
Hi, I was curious, Has anyone ever heard, instead of fasting,of going on a monodiet for a set period of time eating only rice, or kichari for example as a means to detoxify and balance the body? Would this be a good thing to do in addition to mild yoga exercises that offer the same benefits? (detoxifying etc..) I have had terrible allergies for the past year or so and I thought this might help to alleviate some of them and balance out whatever the problem may be...I am very high strung and fruit juice fasting or water fasts are really difficult (I tend to get low blood sugar) so anyway,l would appreciate it if anyone has any ideas or experience in this department...thanks, michelle
Guest guest
Sat Nam, I have heard of people using a monodiet as a way of detoxify and balance the body. Kichari or Mung Beans and Rice would offer more nutrition than just rice. The good thing about Kichari or Mung Beans and Rice is that it is predigested so it would be easy on the digestive tract. If there is a NEAT or a Health Kinesologist in your neck of the woods, they would be able to assist you in ridding you of your allergies. Good luck. Guest guest
Yes, a mono-diet of kitcharee or mung beans and rice is highly recommended as a fast, especially for extended periods of more than a few days. It works really well for people who can't do other kinds of fast successfully, as it is low stress and highly effective.
