Guest guest
Kundalini has certainly been described as a serpent coiled at the base of the spine. It's been called the "hidden potential", It's something that needs to be awakened. There are beings who are said to be able to awaken it within and for you, it's called "Shakti pad" I think. Regardless, I've always a little put off by simply calling it an energy. Maybe it's all semantics but to me it seems to be more than just energy. It's come of energy, no doubt about that, but "it" is greater than the sum of it's parts. Regarding, the "state of being" question, YES! YES! YES! it is a Peace. This peace is meditative. I like your words on that. Shiva + Shakti = Samadhi. The peace one attains may be a little itchy, restless, incredibly so. Sexually aroused for sure, until one learns how to channel it. And hopefully the bliss is permanent. It is nameless and formless to me. Maybe it would be better to call it the energy of spirit? Are you talking about a state of being as in meditation? I know this probably sounds dumb to you, but please keep in mind I am new to this form of discipline; I believe it is a state of 'Peace' which you talk of that when one finds it they no longer have to search as the universe is open to them. I believe that it is the stiring up of the kundalini fire(mother) up the base of the spine through pure or right desire, love, and effort that brings it up to meet with the father (higher self) and one attains peace in the process and hopefully perminant enlightenment. > > >>You are simply creating a quality of space where release can happen and things can resolve and reintegrate. > > This sounds really nice though and I will check it out. > thankyou, > melanie > > On Wed, 05 September 2001, Dharam Singh wrote: > > > Kundalini is not an energy, so to speak. It's a state of being. It's derived from a balance of the prana energy and apana energy but it is beyond energy. Sat Nam Rasayan is the practice applying that state of being as a tool. It is very deep. You are not "doing" anything. You are not healing anyone. You are simply creating a quality of space where release can happen and things can resolve and reintegrate. > > As far as yoga in Altamonte Springs, just look up the Khalsa in the local directory.
