I was born ( on July 3, 1939 ) and brought up at Varanasi in a reputed Brahmin family. I graduated in Engineering from the University of Roorkee. I worked with multinational companies such as I.B.M. World Trade Corporation for 17 years and with Siemens Ltd. for 15 years. Thereafter I worked for Advance Technology Devices, manufacturing and exporting Head Stacks for the Hard Disk Drives. I was Vice-President for the entire manufacturing operations located in Mumbai, employing more than 5000 employees. Last year, I retired from this company as of Administration and Personnel. I have travelled extensively in India and abroad during my employment with above mentioned companies. I am married, have two daughters- both of them Medical graduates. My elder daughter Dr. Jyotsna is married and settled in Singapore. My younger daughter Dr. Ratna is married and settled in Noida, a town on Delhi-UP border. My wife Pratibha,hailing from a well known business family of Kanpur, is a Post graduate, vocalist in Indian Classical music and has primarily remained a House-wife. We have been residing in Mumbai since last more than 30 years. Here, we have our own house, car, telephone and a computer at our residence.
