Dear friends:

I hope this message finds you and all your loved ones safe and well.

I am confident that your school is taking all appropriate action to

help our children deal with the incomprehensible tragedies at the

World Trade Center and Pentagon.

In the struggle with our own shock and grief, the following

publications might be helpful. They describe how children

react to trauma and how we can help them through this

crisis.

Also, the Jewish Social Service Agency (JSSA) of

Greater Washington, has set up a community

crisis emergency response team (available in

all geographic areas). If you, a group or friend

needs help or assistance in how best to talk to or help

family members, children or neighbors.

Contact: Ed Silverman 301-816-2687 or

Joanne Nattrass pager - 301 629-7845

May we all merit a year of peace and health.

Deborah Laufer
