hatred from within

September 13, 2001

Hi all,

It's all so sad......It is not easy to pick up and go about ones business when

so many people are suffering. I read the last 2 mailings to this group about the

hate in this country towards anyone wearing a turbin. Even if you look arab you

could be in trouble. My husband's best friend is an american citizen who was

just saying in his last conversation with us that he missed the united states

and wanted to return as soon as he could. It looks like that will not be

possible. you see, Sameh was born in the US. his whole family was except for his

mom which is still an egyptian citizen. they are now living and working in

arephates (don't know the spelling) where 2 of the terrorists are from. We will

be trying to reach him this weekend to see how he is handling the news about the

attacks. He still has 2 brothers that live here. one in florida and one up

north. can you imagine what they must be going through?

we seem to get it from both ends this hatred. we definately must not let it

consume us and remember we are all human beings, just some have not come to that

conclusion of seeing humanity as a whole so they turn on one another. Just

thought I would share this.

speaking of hatred,

My husband's work place just had a bomb threat. he happens to work at one of the

lockheed martin complexes. as far as I know, everything seems to be allright.

this is crazy all this awful hate that is going around. please help to pray

about the aftermath as well as the attacks. thanks
